installed ubuntu 14.04 over pre-installed windows 8 (8.1). A real mess :)

Bug Description

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bits
Installed from a live USB

partition problems
libparted bug found
/dev/mapper/isw_deiefjahgg_ASUS_OS2 is mounted. e2fsck: Cannot continue, aborting.

Error while checking system log ---> /var/log/mail.log ; no such file directory
4 different ubuntu are proposed at grub launcher (the pink one)

Computer gets hot and battery life is lower than with windows.

I have lost windows; Anyways to access recovery partition that is still there or do i have to download it again?
