Bug Description
Binary package hint: passwd
Executing "usermod -md /home/new_home_dir username" as root/sudo acts as though it is broken in Ubuntu 8.04LTS. Displays help text instead of executing action of moving the contents of a user's home directory to new location. Executing "usermod -d /home/new_home_dir username" works as expected, though you must manually create the homedir and move existing files.
The manpage as well as the help dialog states that -m should work.
This was tested and appears to be fixed in 9.04.
