Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

in Jaunty, with gnome-control-center 1:2.26.0-0ubuntu3

When configuring dual monitors side by side, and selecting rotation on each, the Virtual setting is changed in the xorg.conf file, but the values it is set to don't take into account the rotation. In my case, I have two 1280x1024 monitors, and I would expect it to select a size of 2048x1280. Instead it writes 2560x1024, and consequently can't rotate the displays after next login.

A related problem seems to be that <x> setting in .config/monitors.xml for the 2nd monitor is set to the non-rotated width of the first display, rather than the rotated width.

After manually changing the xorg.conf Virtual size and .config/monitors.xml <x> setting, the displays work correctly.

affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) → screen-resolution-extra (Ubuntu)
