Keyboard layout does not persist across connection

Bug Description

I use the colemak keyboard layout on my machine, but when I connect to a windows machine over RDP my keyboard resorts to Qwerty. Clicking the "Use client keyboard mapping" option has no affect.

Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit / 0.9.99.1

I have same problem. (L)ubuntu 11.10. 32bit.
Using estonian layout - cant too letters like ÕõÄäÖöÜü in remote desktop. Switches automaticaly to US layout, altough "Keyboard Layout Switcher" showing that estonian layout is selected.

I have the same problem : my keyboard is French (Macintosh). When connected via Remmina, it becomes French (Strandard ? Alternative ?).

This is on Ubuntu 14.04.01 LTS as well as on 14.10...

I found a workaround for this. Open ~/.remmina/remmina.prefs and set

rdp_keyboard_layout=a0000409

The value a0000409 is for Colemak. If you want a different keyboard layout you can find it on a Windows System in the registry under HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layouts.

You might need to re-apply this when changing preferences in remmina.

This works for me on 15.04, I haven't tested it on earlier Ubuntu releases.
