Window blank on connection, works on resize

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Just a note - sometimes the remote desktop displays partially within the remmina window, as if the centering is way off.
I'll attach a new screenshot.

In Ubuntu 13.10, it behaved similarly, but merely moving the window would fix it; now it requires a resize (or toggle scale mode).
Interestingly, it doesn't happen w/ all VNC servers, though I haven't found a solid pattern yet.
It doesn't happen on one particular WinXP or another Win2k machine, but it does on another nearly-identical W2k machine, all 3 running UltraVNC. The problem happens with a variety of other servers including several for Linux and the one built into VMWare. RDP connections to several flavors of Windows, and the one from VirtualBox.

FYI I'm on full 14.04 now and it's still happening.

On 14.04 too and im also having this annoying problem.

I have tested ALL the settings and I think I figured out were the bug is.
Once you have a window open disable the "toggle scaled mode" option it will make the content of the window appear immediatly.
And if you have "remember last view mode for each connection" option checked in the preferences the scale mode will stay off and on subsequent connection you will see the window content right away.

Can anyone else reproduce this?

I get the same fault is apparent for VNC sessions too and it to is fixed by toggling scale mode.

It appears that they have published a fix in the past day or so. https://github.com/FreeRDP/Remmina/issues/143.

Hopefully this can make it into an update for TT, and if not, then UU.

It appears for me, that everything works fine in 14.04 (Lubuntu) until i split screens with aRandR. When i do that, the phenomena with blank screen appears.

I found out if you press the scale button on and off again the image returns.

Yes on Ubuntu stock 14.04 it happens every time. Correct if you scale off and on again, it returns.

This bug seems to be already fixed on newer releases of Remmina.

This bug was already fixed in a newer upstream version 1.1.1. So, if Vivdi is going to have Remmina version 1.1.1 maybe this bug is already fixed (http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=remmina&searchon=names&suite=all&section=all) can somebody with Ubuntu 15.04 test it?

Confirmed, it is no longer occurring in vivid.

Confirm too. Tested 20 times in vivid from live cd with remmina version 1.1.1-1ubuntu1

Confirmed too, window not blank or black any more.
