Bug Description
Binary package hint: rdesktop
I've noticed only in rdesktop that deleting files too quickly in Outlook 2003 will completely lock up Ubuntu except for the mouse. Magic SysReq keys do not work.
Specifically:
Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 w/ latest updates.
Rdesktop version is: 1.6.0-2ubuntu1
SeamlessRDP on remote computer running Win2k Server
Compiz 1:0.7.8-0ubuntu4.1
If I have Outlook open in seamless mode:
rdesktop -A -s "c:\seamlessrdp
and select an email message and hold delete, instead of deleting multiple items it will completely lock up the host. Magic keys and Ctrl+Alt+Bkspce do nothing.
No other program seems to have this issue and I don't believe it is Compiz related as rdesktop and krdc running Outlook do not encounter this issue
I'm experiencing a similar issue. When running rdesktop with Jaunty+ compiz+ gnome. While RDP'd to one or multiple MS boxes my desktop will suddenly lock up. Except for the mouse. I usually launch my RDP sessions from gnome-rdp, but I tried from the terminal to see if any obvious errors would appear and there was nothing.
I've also disabled compiz and experienced the same lockups. After that experiment I would point the finger to the rdesktop build.
If there is more information I can gather, please let me know. I'd like to a resolution to this issue asap as I work from home alot while on-call for after hours support and this can be very intrusive on my work. I'm usually forced to boot back to MS windows and work from there.
