Bug Description

Release used: Ubuntu 13.04 64 bit
Version of package used: 4:4.8.4+dfsg-0ubuntu9
What I expect to happen: display "standard" arabic numerals in QT applications
What happens instead: arabic-indic numerals are displayed in QT applications

This bug is known upstream and is fixed in 4.8.5, I hope the fix could be backported to Ubuntu 13.04.

Workaround:
1. uncomment some other locale in /etc/default/locale.gen
2. re-generate locales with locale-gen
3. add: export LC_NUMERIC="cs_CZ.UTF-8" to ~/.profile
4. relog (or reboot)

This doesn't really fix my problem, as I don't have any locale.gen file on my computer. Adding this line into terminal: "sudo gedit /etc/default/locale.gen" only brings up a blank file. Searching for it manually also.

This workaround: http://askubuntu.com/questions/310990/borked-encoding-in-ubuntu-13-04-for-slovak-language fixed it for me. I had to manually create a ~/.profile file and insert the LC_NUMERIC code chain into it.
