Bug Description

When I open kvm in unity 3d (just executing a naked kvm is sufficient), the window resizes many times quite fast. It may take kvm two seconds or over ten seconds to settle down, but it always does.

I tried different -vga options, all with the same effect. If I start kvm in unity 2d, this problem is not present.

I also attached two screenshots, both kvm -cdrom precise-alternate-amd64.iso. One was taken in unity 2d, the other in unity 3d. I didn't change anything beside unity, but the window size is still different.

Thanks for reporting this bug. It's definately an annoying one, and drives me to using vnc. I've reported it previously as bug 986192, so will mark this a duplicate of that.

I do wonder if it is in fact caused by the root cause of bug 504368.
