Bug Description
Binary package hint: qemu-kvm
A new VM install of Windows XP Pro SP2 successfully completes the blue (text-based) install phase, reboots, and stays at the XP boot splash screen with progress bars flowing under the logo. No disk activity occurs, CPU usage is pegged at 100%, and no errors or other information is displayed.
Defining an identical VM in virt-manager using qemu instead of kvm proceeds as expected. Obviously, rather slow, but will test to see if VM runs when the original kvm VM is launched once setup is complete.
