Bug Description

While on a system that has (amonsgt several other) an analog and hdmi hardware sound output option available, if I play/pause(*) a video in Firefox and then I change the sound hardware output, the volume control buttons on my keyboard stop responding.

Using 20.04.1-latest.

(*)=case #2: change the sound hardware profile while the video is playing, don't pause it.

PS: Those multiple audio hardware profiles are overall VERY annoying/intrusive from a user perspective...
