Bug Description
There is bug in the current version of proftpd on 20.04 that results in unusably slow responses and extremely high server load when using mod_auth_file (AuthUserFile) for authentication. This issue was fixed upstream here: https:/
I worked around this by rebuilding the package with mod_auth_file.c updated from upstream, and have attached a quilt patch for this if it is helpful (I tried to get a clean patch from just that PR but wasn't able to). We'd like to avoid having to rebuild the package for every update, and would also like to ensure we get updates (especially security fixes) installed as quickly as possible.
