In pidgin, cannot search for google talk users

Select Accounts->MyUsername/(XMPP)->Search for users...
An error dialog pops up entitled "Directory Query Failed". It reads "Could not query the directory server. 404: Remote Server Not Found".

Hi frotz,

From what I understand here is that you are trying to search for users when the dialog pops-up. However, I spoke to the developers and found out additional details. Google talk does not support this feature for searching server. You should note that that dialog box is asking you for a *server* on which to search and NOT a user for which to search. The developers have confirmed it is not a bug.
