Bug Description
Binary package hint: pidgin
The new mail notification in Buddy List is unreadable due to the dark text placed on a black background. This happens in the new Ambiance and Radiance themes that were implemented in Lucid. A workaround would be to use other themes then those two. See the attached screenshot.

Confirming this as low, as there is an easy workaround.
This combined with Bug #639607 makes email notifications in Pidgin unusable.
I was also able to confirm the same issue in Maverick. I am not sure this should (only?) be assigned to pidgin, I asked in #ubuntu-bugs and perhaps also assigning to light-themes would be appropriate ?
