pidgin, not allowing to see previous buddy icons

Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

In windows pidgin shows a right click menu item in the buddyy list saying see "buddy icons" or similar, where it stores previous buddy icons recorded for user. This is not happening in Ubuntu on the same version of Ubuntu
