Bug Description

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS
Release: 12.04

$ apt-cache policy pidgin-sipe
pidgin-sipe:
  Installed: 1.11.2-1ubuntu1
  Candidate: 1.11.2-1ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 1.11.2-1ubuntu1 0

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

I expected that when I used kerberos with the pidgin-sipe plugin that it didn't prompt for an empty password that is unused.

Instead, it prompted for a password when using kerberos, did not use the password, and then used the system kerberos credentials.

I've contributed a patch upstream here: http://repo.or.cz/w/siplcs.git/commitdiff/a800874391fc04f0a4d8c65378a4843a1349cbee
