UI to select paypal or credit card is confusing for first-time users

If you don't have a credit card set up, the drop down has just one option: paypal. It makes users think that's the only payment option. Paying with a credit card is at the bottom below the buttons, as a link (ironically, because that's a native flow vs the paypal one being web-based).
We need these options to have the same visual weight, so it's clear it's one or the other.

Well the tick for selection is also very confusing if i understand the tick on this screenshot is a tick of a drop down menu
