Bug Description

i've noticed that AirPlay checkboxes in paprefs are grey and non clicable, even if pulseaudio-module-zeroconf and pulseaudio-module-raop are installed. There's a little 'Install' buttons right there, so if i go to software it is saying "Unfortunately, the "/usr/lib/pulse-13.99/modules/module-zeroconf-discover.so you were searching could not be found". Same with "module-raop-discover.so". Those libs are stored in /usr/lib/pulse-13.99.1 and linking them to ../pulse-13.99/ does the job. I hope, that i'm reporting this in right place, if no please sorry.

$ dpkg --list |grep 'paprefs\|pulseaudio-module'
ii paprefs 1.1-1build1 amd64 PulseAudio Preferences
ii pulseaudio-module-gsettings 1:13.99.1-1ubuntu1 amd64 GSettings module for PulseAudio sound server
ii pulseaudio-module-raop 1:13.99.1-1ubuntu1 amd64 RAOP module for PulseAudio sound server
ii pulseaudio-module-zeroconf 1:13.99.1-1ubuntu1 amd64 Zeroconf module for PulseAudio sound server

Good workaround @tanovich!

# cd /usr/lib
# ln -s pulse-13.99.1/ pulse-13.99

Fixed it for me...

The workaround worked for me but not with the Ubuntu 21.10, I tried
# cd /usr/lib
# sudo ln -s pulse-15.0+dfsg1/ pulse-13.99

But I still have the error

On Jammy, this works:

ln -s /usr/lib/pulse-15.99.1+dfsg1/ /usr/lib/pulse-15.99
