Pan needs more options for expiring old articles

Bug Description
Binary package hint: pan
This is a feature request rather than an actual bug.
Several newsgroup providers (most notably Giganews) now guarantee article retention well past six months. However, Pan only offers options for expiring old articles after - in order - 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, six months, or never. An option of a year, two years, or better yet a custom time period, would be delightful.
