Rythmbox cannot be closed down when padevchooser is running

While padevchooser applet is running following error occurs in Rythmbox:

When closing down Rythmbox, the audio stream persists (visible in pavucontrol and PA manager). Also the RB process remains dormant. When trying to start a new RB window from the menu it crashes.
Terminating the persisting process solves the problem. Merely terminating the persisting audio stream in pavucontrol does not solve the problem.
Expected behaviour: When closing the RB window both proces and audio streams should be terminated.

I am on Ubuntu 9.04.
