Bug Description

Binary package hint: otrs2

Ubuntu 8.04 - the Hardy Heron - released in April 2008.
Was running sudo apt-get install otrs2
ran through everything fine, was almost finished and then bombed out with an error.
failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

 apt-cache policy otrs2
otrs2:

I thought it would install and then i would have some sort of webpage for it, but the install failed.

Apologies if you all already have figured this out, but this has to do with this line in the installer script:

a2enmod perl

A temporary hack around this problem - before you install otrs2, install libapache2-mod-perl2

Thanks, installing libapache2-mod-perl2 fixed the problem, so otrs2's deb package should be fixed by depending on libapache2-mod-perl2.

my problem was a mismatched apache config. so when the restart is issued from installer the apache cannot start and the installation failed.

Confirmed in Ubuntu Hardy with all updated up to date, as a workaround after installing libapache2-mod-perl2 works fine.
