Copy/Paste not kept when closing OpenOffice

Bug Description

OpenOffice does not keep the clipboard contents when OpenOffice closes, so this process does not work:
1. Open OpenOffice Writer document.
2. Copy some text.
3. Close the document.
4. Open another OpenOffice Writer document
5. Paste the text.

Other applications, such as gedit, do this by calling gdk_display_store_clipboard()

I wanted to submit this bug upstream but I couldn't figure out how to do that with the openoffice bug tracker.
