I just tried this & removed the libreoffice-gtk package & it appears to work. Hope this gets fixed soon.

I also had the same problem and removing libreoffice-gtk solves it, but know LO user interface looks bad - tiny font, ugly icons. Any idea how to improve on that?

I have just reinstalled libreoffice from its official ppa ( and the problem seems to be fixed. Well, at least the menus are working and libreoffice does not crash anymore. HUD integration does not work though.

Changed in openjdk-6 (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Medium
