Bug Description

'Drag and Drop' and 'Copy and Pase' doesn't work when I install Ubuntu in a VMware virtual machine between guest and host.

Here's what I tried so far:
-set suid flag for vmware-user-suid-wrapper (see bug report #1149811)
-made sure /tmp/VMwareDnD exists
-mounted vmbock
-installed libgtkmm-3.0 and libgtkmm-2.4 as suggested here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Installing_Arch_Linux_in_VMware#COPY_AND_PASTE

I've attached the current open-vm-tools init script I'm using right now. If I start the script and run vmware-user-suid-wrapper I don't see any error messages but 'Drag and Drop' still doesn't work

I am wondering if this is linked to https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/33835 and the inability to load the vmblock module. I do see in my dmesg - vmblock: Unknown symbol putname (err 0).

It's hard to make a determination because the user didn't specify what version of the tools he was using

In my case, this occurs in Ubuntu 13.04 (amd64) with the open-vm-tools version = 2012.12.26-958366-0ubuntu3
