Drag and drop between guest and host doesn't work when Ubuntu is installed in a VMware virtual machine

Bug Description
'Drag and Drop' and 'Copy and Pase' doesn't work when I install Ubuntu in a VMware virtual machine between guest and host.
Here's what I tried so far:
-set suid flag for vmware-
-made sure /tmp/VMwareDnD exists
-mounted vmbock
-installed libgtkmm-3.0 and libgtkmm-2.4 as suggested here: https:/
I've attached the current open-vm-tools init script I'm using right now. If I start the script and run vmware-
