DKMS fails to build the nvidia driver if the C compiler is broken.

Looks like something is broken with your C compiler. Did you install a different C compiler perhaps?
This doesn't look to actually be an nvidia bug (or even dkms really), but as there are a number of dupes perhaps it could use better error handling or error messages. Setting to wishlist for now.
