Bug Description

Xubuntu 16.04 Xenial

Description: Ubuntu Xenial Xerus (development branch)
Release: 16.04

$ apt-cache policy nvidia-current
nvidia-current:

Expected nvidia to load after installing drivers. Reported it did not load.

After re-boot, display went to low resolution mode, monitor was not detected because nvidia drivers failed to load.

Almost identical to this bug, that had a fix release for ubuntu 14.10:
