Bug Description

This is the first bug i file, so please bear with my inexperience :)

nvidia-340 kernel modules are not compatibile with the latest linux kernel (5.1* series, which are default in the latest 20.04 point releases and following ubuntu releases). So when ubuntu-drivers-common detects and installs the nvidia-340 drivers it should also install the latest compatible kernel version of the linux 5.4 series.

This happened to me when trying to install ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS on an old macbook 6,1 (white unibody macbook). Driver manager suggested nvidia-340 for my machine, but installation failed when building kernel modules were incompatibile with the latest linux kernel.

I solved the problem by manually running sudo apt-install --install-recommends linux-generic and by rebooting on an older version of the kernel
