package linux-image-2.6.38-10-generic 2.6.38-10.46 failed to install/upgrade: run-parts: /etc/kernel/postinst.d/nvidia-common exited with return code 1

Got this error while performing an update through the Update Manager. When I try through apt-get instead, it tells me that my kernel packages are being held back to the current version (2.6.38-8-generic #42).
