chsh.ldap crashes in ask_shell

When calling chsh.ldap as a normal user (user info is stored in ldap) I get promted for my password an then chsh.ldap crashes with the following output:

I believe, this was fixed upstream with this commit: https://github.com/arthurdejong/nss-pam-ldapd/commit/1025d5de336d8c9585b79df3154b5649da344281
