XF86WLAN key should enable/disable Wifi

apport-collect 385646

This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to "Change Non-Private" data as it will be adding information to your bug report. The keybinding seems to be okay (XF86WLAN), but network-manager does not react to this. Therefore I am reassigning this to network-manager.

We do not currently support those. Can you please check with xev if you get sensible key names for those? If not, please file a new bug against udev; if so, please file a bug against gnome-power-manager for the backlight issue. I don't know where to file the "change processor speed" bug; there is an applet for it, but it's not enabled by default.

Confirm this bug on my dell mini 12. Fn+F2 out the "xf86wlan" command, but network-manager does not anyhow react.

Confirm this bug on my Toshiba Sattelite R630 13J, Fn+F8 out the "XF86WLAN" command, but network-manager does not anyhow react.

Same for Asus Eee PC 1016p: Fn+F2 sends XF86WLAN, but nothing happens.

@Alberto: The key codes for Samsung NC10 are in bug Bug 296489. I think that this bug is more general; eg when the user assign the XF86WLAN to a specific key from shortcut settings.

As a workaround one can create a script like:
<https://github.com/dwlocks/scripts-tools-config/blob/master/etc/rfkill-toggle>
and bind it to XF86WLAN.
