Bug Description

(filing bug via web form because of 1385095)

Description: Ubuntu 14.10
Release: 14.10

network-manager:
  Installato: 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu28
  Candidato: 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu28
  Tabella versione:
 *** 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu28 0
        500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ utopic/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Expected behaviour:
permanent and temporary IPv6 are renewed when necessary

Observed behaviour:
Every so often, the system loses its temporary IPv6 addresses and is left with the main address alone. In this situation, sites such as Google (which already prefers IPv6 if available) will stall.
Workaround is to disconnect/reconnect wifi to obtain new temporary addresses.
There seems to be no interesting message in the router log (using OpenWRT 14.07)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1393215/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
