Bug Description

I put my laptop to sleep (previously connected to a WPA2 home wireless connection, and moved to a different location, intending to connect to a new (public) wireless connection. Upon waking, the applet detected the old network was gone, and the dropdown displayed a list of new APs. When I selected the new public AP, nothing happened. In fact, no items in the dropdown (edit connections, etc) had any effect. Stopping and starting network-manager made the applet disappear and reappear, but still no effect after that. Nothing appeared in syslog when selecting items from the applet dropdown. I ultimately had to reboot.
