On the latest unity (5.4.0+
How to reproduce:
Left click on the desktop, noticing the change in the panel to "Ubuntu Desktop" (or the translated equivalent). Now try pressing alt + f (or alt + p in Polish translated desktops) or any other alt + letter combination that should open up a menu item.
Expected outcome:
The given menu is open (for instance, the File menu).
Actual outcome:
Nothing happens.
Unity version: 5.4.0+bzr2041ub
Compiz version: 1:0.9.7.
Ubuntu version: precise
Gfx driver: fglrx
The desktop menus don't support Alt+whatever selections right now. No letters are underlined.
Not sure if this is an issue with Nautilus or Unity,
