Bug Description
When emptying the trash (I used the "Empty Deleted Items" button at the top of the file list in Nautilus) a dialog pops up with a progress bar at 0% saying "Preparing". It stays at 0% for the duration of the empty and then disappears when it's done instead of updating.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put items in the trash
2. Empty the trash by selecting "Empty"
3. Notice the progress bar is stuck at 0% saying "Preparing"
Expected Results:
Progress Bar updates as items are thrown away.
Actual Results:
Nautilus says "Preparing" until the trash is finished being emptied.

Thank you for your bug report. Could you give some details on the content of the trash at the time you emptied it? Do you have enough data for it to take a while, is that on a local partition?
It's likely an upstream issue and would be good to report to them on https:/ /gitlab. gnome.org/ GNOME/nautilus/ issues/
