Bug Description
This happens when running as root:
myuser@
When permissions are changed through right-clicking a folder and selecting properties, nautilus displays a properties dialog, quickly followed by an empty dialog box and crashes. This only affects folders, not files.
Sometimes the dialog displays:
"The owner could not be changed."
"Sorry, could not change the owner of 'test'. Specified owner 'myuser' does not exist."
(See attachments).
I know myuser exists as I am logged in as myuser!
This also happens when the folder is owned by 'otheruser', who is not logged on.
===Work-around===
Use chmod to change permissions.
