Thanks for your bug report. While what you state in the bug report is true, you don't mention the "Copy Disc" dialog popping up (which happens at my place). To remove the icon from the Desktop (unmounting it) seems to be the right thing, regarding you want to copy the disc. What is the problem exactly? |

Don't mix differents issues on the same bug. Is that about the icon on the desktop or about the CD beeing ejected only for few seconds after the copy? |

Yeah, it has to unmount it to do the copy, how is that an issue? |

That's how a CD copy works, the tools need an exclusive use of the media to copy it that's why it's unmount and nautilus stops using, I'm rejecting the bug (which is a minor wishlist). Feel free to reopen with some ideas on how to workaround that if you have some |

description |
(Assuming there is only one CD/DVD drive)
breezy and dapper (flight 5)
->Insert a CD/DVD
->Right Click on the desktop icon
->Click on 'Copy Disc'
->The icon disappears (instead of an error message saying there is no secondary CD drive to copy the media to?)

(Assuming there is only one CD/DVD drive)
breezy and dapper (flight 5)
->Insert a CD/DVD
->Right Click on the desktop icon
->Click on 'Copy Disc ...'
Actual outcome:
The icon disappears as soon as the "Copy Disc ..." dialog box is shown
Expected outcome:
The icon should remain on the desktop until the user actually starts copying, and/or reappear after copying is finished or aborted |
