Update manager quit giving information about update at:
* Starting MySQL database server mysqld debian- start: Permission denied
...done.
/etc/init.d/mysql: line 115: /etc/mysql/
invoke-rc.d: initscript mysql, action "start" failed.
I rebooted computer, checked update manager for more updates and no updates were reported.
I started mysql and:

Server version: 5.0.75-
it seems 5.075 was installed (I hope)
