mplayer cannot stream asx file - redirect loop?

10.10 worked. 11.10 does not.

totem works. mplayer does not.

PS if I wget the asx file, and then use mplayer on the embedded mms URL, it works, so this has to be an ASX parser/handling bug.

Using -playlist makes a very slight difference - it still goes into a redirect loop, but doesn't show 'cache filled'. I think one _should_ use -playlist for .asx. But it breaks both ways around, so it's still broken.

I think this may also manifest on the www.parliament.uk ASX streams. They are also playable from the embedded MMS stream, but the ASX playlist will not play.

In this log, note that the 'range' header updates each time; this is a bad interaction between the asx parser and the http protocol.
