Bug Description
Binary package hint: monodevelop
Monodevelop 2.0 from Jaunty repo.
Program loads properly, but when creating new GTK# solution, top and bottom panel, menus and windows disappear. The only things visible are the desktop wallpaper and monodevelop editor (but without window frame.) Since Ctrl-Alt-Backspace is disabled, I log out by clicking where I know the User Switcher applet is supposed to be. The drop down menu appears and click logout. After logging in, menus, panels and windows work properly. I have not tried to create anything but GTK# solutions, but happens every time.

Metacity w/ compositing

I figured out that if I use Metacity without compositing or use Compiz the problem goes away.
