Left side bar in gnome not disappear

When I open the some software de side bar not disappear, i need to touch the hotkey two times for the softawre minimize for the side in the left disappear, its this configuration in my gnome, i select the option for the side bar disappear. Some time ago this problem it's related and the communication of Canonical said that it's be fixed, even in the past i don't have this problema but now i have. It's possible fix this?
