Bug Description

THE APPLET CRASHES ON STARTUP AND SHUTDOWN. iN ADDITION, THE PROGRAM BOOTS INTO A "DOS LIKE" PROMPT ASKING FOR USER NAME AND PASSWORD. HOWEVER, IT DOESNOT ACCEPT EITHER. CONSEQUENTLY, I PRESS CTRL ALT DEL AND IT WILL THEN BOOT INTO THE SELECTION SCREEN ASKING FOR A RESPONSE REGARDING CONTINUEING WITH UNBUNTU, ADVANCED OPTION OR MEMORY TEST. THE ONLY SELECTION THAT WORKS IS TO CHOSE THE OPTION THAT IS NOT A RECOVERY BOOT. SORRY, I FORGOT THE NAME. i AM A FIRST TIME NOVICE. JUST GETTING BAPTIEZED INTO THIS VERY COOL OS WORLD. ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED.

THANKS

Your computer looks really unhappy.

This automatically filed bug report is about the mercurial source control system. Based on the errors in the logs I think it'd be best to uninstall mercurial and then re-install it again if you need it.

You should also file a bug against the linux kernel with "ubuntu-bug linux" -- your video card looks very unhappy, there's hundreds or thousands of these: [ 6614.314685] [drm:drm_mode_addfb] [FB:32]

You may wish to ask for help in IRC, #ubuntu on irc.freenode.net, or http://askubuntu.com, though I think IRC may be a better fit.

Thanks
