Bug Description
it is on 11.04 (natty)
N.B. three hdds (sda, sdb, sdc), sda is root (ubuntu installed), sdb+sdc are in raid1 (created by mdadm). so if hdd with ubuntu fails, I wanted to be able to load live usb, and use my raid1 (for restore backup and stuff).
so I boot from live usb, then "sudo apt-get install mdadm", and reboot...
and live usb does not boot anymore says something wrong with -init.
is it a bug or fixable?

This bug is reproducible on 11.10 and 12.04. Specifically this occurs when the md array has a failed device. However this is a big issue because the live usb is critical to resolving failed md device issues.
