Bug Description
I’m trying to use MComix on Ubuntu 22.04.2 Jammy Jellyfish, and from this package (version 1.2.1mcomix3+
10:25:54 [MainThread] ERROR: Required PyGTK version is: 2.12.0 or higher
10:25:54 [MainThread] ERROR: No version of PyGTK was found on your system.
10:25:54 [MainThread] ERROR: This error might be caused by missing GTK+ libraries.
The problem is, there is no PyGTK package for 22.04; I understand that this is because PyGTK is a Python 2 phenomenon, deprecated in favor of PyGObject + GTK for Python 3. Fortunately, newer versions of MComix (I tried the latest version, 2.1.0, by downloading it from MComix’s Sourceforge page) don’t have this problem, as the PyGTK stuff has successfully been ported to PyGObject + GTK. So, this package needs an update; I can see that this package has already been updated to 2.1.0 on Lunar and Mantic, so could the same be done for the Jammy and Kinetic versions of this package? At present, this package doesn’t work at all in Jammy. It wouldn’t require updating any other packages, as my tests of MComix 2.1.0 in Jammy can attest.
Thank you!
