maximus: maximized windows disregard Xfwm's disabled raise on click

Using Xubuntu 11.10.
Turned off the "Raise on click" option in the Settings-->Window Manager-->Focus settings.
Running maximus 0.4.14-1ubuntu5.

I have a maximized window and a smaller window above it. When I click on the background window, it comes to the front ("Raises"), even though it is not supposed to. I expect that it would just stay put, as it should with the raise-on-click turned off.
