Bug Description
Since GNOME 3, Maximus often clips the left side of the application window's content by a margin equivalent to one framebuffer console character. There doesn't seem to be a claer pattern as to what exactly triggers this issue.

Since a few days only (Gnome Shell 3.2? New maximus release?), I also see such an effect. It only happens with maximized windows that are undecorated by maximus. In addition to the original report there is also a clipping at the top of the window here.
