Bug Description
System: Noted on all of: Ubuntu MATE 14.04, 14.10, 15.04
I set up a panel on the left side to launch applications . The panel is set to autohide. The bug is that if you launch a program from the panel, and immediately move the mouse away from the panel, the panel will stick open. This is very easy to reproduce. Further, the panel will not retract until you again move the mouse over the panel and then away again.
This only happens when launching one of the applications from this panel. It does not happen if you just hover over the panel, then move away.
Image: Shows stuck panel after program launch. Note mouse cursor is away from panel after a program launch. It should be hidden in this situation.

Not sure if it affects more distros than Ubuntu MATE but you could report it on https:/ /github. com/mate- desktop/ mate-panel/ issues
