Bug Description
Today's security update failed to install on 14.04.5. I will attach the log from the Landscape results. This might be a duplicate of, or related to, LP: #1446941

This is caused by the "qfiles not empty" problem. The Debian packaging refuses to automatically upgrade if there are qfiles present, in an abundance of caution over losing the unsent messages.
The failure in Landscape is because it's an unattended upgrade. If you upgrade on the cli, you'll see the Debian package warning about the problem and be given instructions on how to deal with it or ignore the warning and upgrade anyway.
