i cant use yahoo account in mail-notification

3) dont have and error when i configure an yahoo account like the sreenshot attached

4) permit configure and yahoo account

i also install :

 sudo apt-get install fetchyahoo ....

This bug is affecting me also on ubuntu 11.04 2.6.35-25-generic #44-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jan 21 17:40:48 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux

I did a fresh install on mail-notifier

also check to make sure fetchyahoo is the latest

sudo apt-get install fetchyahoo
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
fetchyahoo is already the newest version.
fetchyahoo set to manually installed.
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  linux-headers-2.6.35-22 linux-headers-2.6.35-22-generic
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

Mail Notifier does not complain when configuring yahoo account, but I get either unknown fetch error or invalid password, but I know the password is correct. I tried entering just user name, and also username at yahoo dot com.

Configuring and receiving notification on GMail works fine.

You need to update to the latest fetchyahoo upstream version (see bug #725357). You can get the package from my PPA - https://launchpad.net/~phobosk/+archive/phobosk-ppa/

Please test and report back, so this could be resolved.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates: Precise contains a much newer version of fetchyahoo. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 503954 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
