Bug Description
I no longer have sound in 12.04. Maybe unrelated, but movie player plays videos sped up, with no sound. vlc plays thevideo at normal sped, but stilll no sound.
WORKAROUND: I had the computer connected via HDMI, and after installing ATI's proprietary drivers, I now have sound again.
WORKAROUND: With open source drivers kernel parmeter radeon.audio=1
