Bug Description
It was booting fine with 2.6.32-
I see on IRC that other people have the same problem, maybe this is a duplicate already, but I didn't find it when searching launchpad.
I hope "ubuntu-bug" collected enough information.

Similar issue on my Thinkpad T400 as well. Installed the newer kernel twice on 10.04 beta 2. both times there was a kernel oops on reboot.
However, I can confirm that I did not have any issues installing the updates on a generic desktop workstation at work where the installation went smoothly.
Seems to be a thinkpad issue?
