Bug Description
After the update to 20.10 (from 20.04) the laptop freezes regularly. Screen is frozen, mouse cursor frozen and the only chance to recover is to switch off. Since it is hard to tell which part is broken I appended the kernel logs of the last boot. I found two "------------[ cut here ]------------" in the logs which seems to be a bad sign.
I tried different kernels 5.8.0-36, 5.8.0-38, 5.8.0-40 and a 5.10.8 from the kernel team. All freeze.
